Accountant

6-month contract in Nelson Bay area. Broad finance role across AP/AR, payroll & month-end.

We’re looking for an experienced Accountant to step into a 6-month contract within a values-driven aged care provider. You’ll play a key part in maintaining financial operations that underpin essential care services for our community.

The Opportunity
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll support day-to-day operations across all major accounting functions including:

• Month-end reconciliations and journal entries
• Providing back-up coverage across Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Payroll
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Assisting with annual audit processes and general administration
• Participating in policy and procedure updates

This is a hands-on, flexible role in a supportive team where your skills will be highly valued.

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate IV in Accounting (completed or in progress)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance team environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and reconciliations
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Confidence working independently and as part of a broader team
