Join this NFP organisation within the People & Culture team as their Chief People and Culture Officer.  You will be instrumental in aligning the P&C strategy, business objectives with employees and management in designated areas to support the success of the brand. This role involves serving as a strategic advisor to leaders across the business on human resources-related issues, acting as an employee champion and proactively assessing and anticipating HR-related needs. Your strategic and hands-on approach will help deliver value-add services to leaders and employees that reflects the business objectives.

About the role:

  • Contribute to broader strategic and operational management of the organisation as part of the Executive Leadership Team
  • Develop and implement an effective People and Culture strategy that drives the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives.
  • Drive the development of an organisational culture that is respectful, inclusive, and humanistic whilst being achievement focused and high performing.
  • Build the capability of the organisation and its leaders, to assist in the achievement of performance outcomes and prepare for future growth.
  • Create a comprehensive talent management strategy to attract, develop, and retain a highly skilled workforce.
  • Maintain up-to-date HR policies and practices that comply with regulatory and legislative requirements and are clearly understood by all.
  • Support leaders across the organisation in applying HR policy and practice guidelines to inform decision-making, people engagement, and compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment.

What success looks like in the role:

  • Proven experience as a within a leadership role in Executive HR or People & Culture.
  • Knowledge off Fair Work Act, NES requirements, EEO, HR principles, WHS, anti-discrimination, remuneration practices and workplace culture dynamics.
  • Experience in leading transformational organisational change, such as re-structures, mergers, acquisitions.
  • Growth mindset and self-development focus.
  • High levels of integrity and the moral compass of all people activities
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of business and member information.
  • Degree or similar within Human Resources is advantageous.
