Civil Project Manager

This is an opportunity to work with a leading Civil Contractor, in the Newcastle/ Hunter Valley region

The team at Verve Partners are proud to be partnering with a leading Civil Contractor to expand their projects team across Newcastle & Hunter Valley. 

As the Project Manager you will report through to the Regional Manager and oversee on diverse Civil Infrastructure works such as Water, Pipeline, Roads, Mining and Subdivisions.

The role: 

As the Project Manager, you will report through to the Regional Manager to lead and coordinate Civil Infrastructure project requirements, including your daily duties/ responsibilities such as,

• Coach and Mentor teams including Junior Engineers 
• Develop and maintain Project Management Plans, working closely with the Estimating team and Senior Leadership team 
• Review scope of works and allocate personnel accordingly
• Maintain financial requirements and assist with management of costs 
• Oversee WHS practices and protocols
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure contractual obligations are met

About you: 

To be considered for this role, you will need to have demonstrated capacity and knowledge of the Civil Infrastructure sector, additionally you will have the following qualifications & experience, 

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management 
• Project knowledge of Water, Pipeline, Roads and Mining 
• Understanding of MS Office Suite & Computer literacy 
• Strong work ethic and a positive team member 
• Ability to built strong internal and external relationships
