Opportunity for an Estimator to join a diverse and growing business in the Newcastle region.

Verve Partners, Construction team are working with a local Builder to find an Estimator to join their growing business here in Newcastle. 

You will be working on Commercial & Residential projects across NSW, including Hospitality, Community Centres and Lifestyle Communities. As a member of a larger group of companies, there will be collaboration and support from the business.

Responsibilities; 
As the lead Estimator your daily duties will be broad, including but not limited to,

  • Preparing Tender Submissions for Commercial & Residential Projects 
  • Complete cost plans and budgets for feasibility studies and designs 
  • Prepare scope of works
  • Review and negotiate subcontractor quotes 
  • Competition of Risk analysis and WHS requirements for all tenders 
  • Working closely with the Project Manager to prepare Construction program schedules and budgets 
  • Supporting Project teams in coordination of variations and progress claims 

About you; 

To be successful within this role you will have the following skills and qualifications, 

  • Demonstrated experience working as an Estimator on Residential and Commercial projects, priced up to $10M 
  • Bachelor of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveyor qualifications (ideally) 
  • Team player 
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with a diverse range of people 
  • Flexibility in your approach to the role
