Finance Manager
Rhomberg Sersa is a global provider of rail infrastructure solutions, known for delivering complex engineering projects across Australia and beyond. They are seeking a skilled and commercially minded Finance Manager to lead financial operations and provide strategic support to their Australian business to cover for maternity leave.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership position reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will manage financial operations across multiple locations, lead a capable accounting team, and oversee critical reporting and compliance activities. The role requires strong technical skills, commercial insight, and the ability to pivot quickly during peak reporting periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly reporting to the European parent entity
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
- Oversee payroll, tax, treasury, R&D financials, and long service leave provisions
- Manage AP/AR and financial transactions across Newcastle and Sydney
- Support business decisions with financial analysis and insight
- Guide internal improvements, including a PRONTO ERP upgrade
- Mentor a small finance team, including a Management Accountant
- Handle audit preparation and support quarterly reporting deadlines
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- 3+ years in a senior finance role (experience in construction or engineering is advantageous)
- Strong ERP knowledge (PRONTO highly regarded)
- Deep understanding of Australian compliance and reporting standards
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
- Agility, adaptability, and confidence in a fast-paced environment
