This Insurance Officer role is a full time permanent role based in Booragul.
This is a great opportunity for someone seeking to move out of an insurance or call centre style environment into a true internal role where your contribution plays a part in serving a community based organisation.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Produce high-quality reports for the Director Risk & Safety, providing crucial insights on insurance matters within the organisation.
  • Serve as a primary contact for our organisation’s insurers and insurance brokers, ensuring seamless communication and efficient handling of inquiries and renewals.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of insurance policies and certificates, ensuring easy access to vital information.
  • Play a key role in facilitating the annual insurance renewal process by efficiently managing and providing necessary insurance data.
  • Coordinate claims submission and management with insurers and brokers, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
  • Oversee insurance projects in collaboration with stakeholders, aiming to enhance the organisations overall insured position and risk management strategies.

Essentially you’ll have:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced insurance environment.
  • Skilled in insurance negotiations, claims management, and fostering relationships with insurers and brokers.
  • Proficient in reporting, including data collection and analysis.
  • Proven track record in driving continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results efficiently.
