An established, innovative consultancy is on the hunt for an experienced and strategic Group Lead – Mechanical Engineer to guide a high-performing team, deliver high-calibre technical solutions, and shape the growth of a thriving Mechanical division.
In this senior leadership position, you’ll step into a key role managing client relationships, team performance, and project outcomes across diverse industries. You’ll bring your commercial acumen and consulting experience to the forefront—driving business development, influencing strategic direction, and ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical engineering projects aligned with industry standards and legislative requirements.
Your impact:
- Lead and inspire a capable Mechanical Engineering team, supporting technical excellence and professional development.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, overseeing timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to design and implement strategic plans for growth.
- Champion a culture of safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
- Foster trusted relationships with clients through tailored, practical engineering solutions.
What you bring:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering + Chartered (CPEng) with EA, and eligible for RPEQ/RPEV.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a consultancy.
- Proven success in managing multidisciplinary projects and teams.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Strong grasp of legislative and industry frameworks in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with MS Office and engineering reporting software.
- Unrestricted driver licence + NSW White Card (or willingness to obtain).
