We’re seeking a practical, detail-oriented tradesperson with strong machining skills and experience in prototype design to work closely with engineering and production teams. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in groundbreaking mechanical product development that blends simplicity, functionality, and innovation. This role will be considered for someone seeking fulltime or part-time work.
 
Your Role

• Work alongside engineers to develop and refine mechanical prototypes
• Operate manual and CNC machinery to produce precision components
• Interpret engineering drawings and contribute to design improvements
• Assemble, test, and modify mechanical assemblies
• Assist in transitioning prototypes into scalable production solutions
• Support continuous improvement in design, efficiency, and usability

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant trade qualification (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
• Proven experience in prototype development or custom mechanical builds
• Expertise in turning, milling, and general workshop practices
• Ability to problem-solve and suggest practical design modifications
• A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
