The Organisation:

Our client is an established and growing firm operating as two boutique specialist legal practices servicing Newcastle and beyond. They have three offices, two in Newcastle and one in Sydney, with modern office facilities and a fun, supportive working environment. This firm is regarded as a professional and dynamic law practice offering employees clear career paths to growth and development. 
 
As the People & Culture Manager you will be part of the Management Team which includes the Managing Director, Executive Directors, Financial Controller, Marketing & Communications Manager and Practice Manager.

With a strong growth plan of 20% per annum, this role will influence key decisions to support the business growth goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve overall team performance and engagement through the optimisation and implementation of onboarding and training programs for Solicitors, Legal Assistants and Receptionists.
  • Develop and execute HR initiatives that align with business objectives, including policies, programs and strategies that support employee onboarding, engagement, development, performance management and retention.
  • Measure, monitor and evaluate HR metrics and data to drive data driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Positively influence employee experience and the company’s culture. 
  • Manage and execute recruitment strategy for the overall business, and
  • HRIS system implementation.

About You:

  • Tertiary education in Human Resources or Business.
  • 10 years’ experience post-graduation in HR positions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem solver focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Energetic personality who enjoys challenging the status quo.
  • Passion for learning and implementing best practices and strategies for driving employee engagement, productivity and culture.
