Rostering Team Leader

Our client is a successful and growing Newcastle-based provider of community aged care and disability services across the Newcastle, Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie areas. This organisation has a positive and supportive work culture.

They are now looking to hire a Rostering Team Leader on a permanent full-time basis. They are located outside of the Newcastle CBD with parking available.  

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Lead a team of two Rostering Officers
  • Record and update changes on the computerised roster system
  • Match appropriately qualified field staff to consumer needs
  • Prepare, maintain and update an effective and efficient staff roster that is reflective of consumer-identified needs and preferences
  • Replace/cancel shifts when required
  • Continual improvements, problem-solving and analysis of processes in the Rostering team

Essentially you’ll have:

  • Experience working in a rostering role in aged care or the disability sector
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrated in a previous role
  • Strong administration skills 
  • Comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Able to meet deadlines and problem-solve staffing solutions
  • Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate well with others
