The Role
As a Project Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of a high-performing team delivering water infrastructure projects across the Central Coast and Newcastle regions. You’ll play a key role in coordinating works onsite, ensuring engineering standards are met, and keeping projects on track for time, budget, and quality.
You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and have access to a leadership structure that fosters mentoring and career growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and delivery of water and sewer infrastructure projects
- Oversee subcontractor management and ensure WHS, environmental, and quality compliance
- Support project procurement, budgeting, and reporting tasks
- Work closely with site teams to ensure technical accuracy and project efficiency
- Use systems such as SharePoint, and Microsoft tools to manage project data
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related (Diploma-qualified professionals with strong experience considered)
- Minimum 4 years local experience as a Site or Project Engineer in water, sewer, or transport infrastructure
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and apply WHS, Environmental, and QA standards
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations and project management tools (Excel, MS Project)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites across the Hunter Region
