About the Role
As a Paraplanner, you’ll provide technical research, financial modelling, and documentation and compliance support to a close-knit team of experienced Financial Advisers that value professionalism, continual learning, and a genuine commitment to client success.
You’ll play a crucial behind-the-scenes role in preparing high-quality, compliant Statements of Advice (SOAs) and ensuring clients receive the best strategic outcomes possible.
Working closely with advisers, fund managers, and product providers while helping drive best practice and continuous improvement across the advice process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed, compliant and tailored Statements of Advice (SOAs) and supporting documents.
- Conduct research and analysis across superannuation, investments, insurance, SMSFs, retirement planning, and tax strategies.
- Build and maintain financial models to test advice strategies.
- Ensure all documentation, file notes, and compliance requirements (KYC, Fact Find, FASEA) are met.
- Liaise with advisers, BDMs, and product providers to obtain accurate information.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to ongoing best practice development.
- Stay up to date with legislative and regulatory changes impacting financial advice.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a paraplanning or financial advice support role.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts, compliance, and strategy construction.
- Technical understanding across superannuation, retirement, investments, insurance, and estate planning.
- Strong initiative and ownership with a proactive and outcome-driven work ethic.
- Proficient in financial planning software (e.g. XPLAN, AdviserLogic, or Midwinter ideal).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and written communication skills.
- Confident working both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, or Economics preferred (DFP / GradDipFP desirable but not essential).
