The Opportunity
 
A pivotal role within a high-performing finance team overseeing multi-entity operations. Working as a key part of this collaborative team you’ll ensure compliance, strengthening reporting accuracy, and responding to financial inquiries by gathering, analysing, summarising, and interpreting data.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• The month-end close process, including the preparation of workpapers, covering reconciliations, inventory valuations, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and FX valuations
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports (monthly, half-yearly, yearly)
• Participate in the annual external audit process and liaise with auditors
• Support tax compliance: income tax, FBT, BAS, fuel tax credits, and CbC reporting
• Contribute to sustainability reporting (GHG emissions, ISSB standards)
• Maintain the fixed asset register
• Provide data and insights for management reports and presentations

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CA qualifications or working towards
• 4-7 years’ experience in financial or management accounting—mining or heavy industry experience beneficial but not essential
• Strong tax or auditing experience; candidates from a Professional Practice background with client service or audit experience will be highly regarded
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (Pronto experience ideal)
• Strong understanding of Australian taxation and financial reporting obligations
• Ability to interpret complex data, solve problems, and communicate clearly
• A collaborative and proactive approach to process improvement and team support
