Legal Secretary

Opportunity to join a well-established firm based in the suburbs of Newcastle | Work within litigation and wills and estates.

 Our client offers a full suite of legal services to an established client base in Newcastle and beyond. They are conveniently located in the suburbs of Newcastle, with onsite parking, modern office facilities and a fun, supportive working environment. This firm has been operating for over 50 years and is regarded as a professional and friendly law practice. 
  
An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join their firm in a permanent full-time capacity.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support experienced, professional and friendly Solicitors in a non-hierarchical environment. This role will primarily support the litigation, and wills and estate teams.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
• Diary management and coordination
• Providing a superior level of customer service, client liaison and correspondence
• File administration, monitoring and management of client-related deadlines
• Time entry, preparation and issuing of invoices  

Essentially you’ll have:

• Previous experience working as a legal secretary
• Exposure to working within litigation or wills and estate ideally 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Intermediate skills in the MS Office Suite
