Payroll Officer

Verve Partners collaborates with a broad range of clients across the Newcastle, the Hunter and Central Coast regions who are currently seeking or will be on the lookout for payroll professionals to join their teams. These could be both short-term assignments and permanent positions. 

Typical responsibilities:

• Entering payroll information for new employees and updating any changes
• Processing payroll with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
• Responding to payroll enquiries in a timely manner
• Interpreting awards/agreements as part of the payroll process
• Assisting with month-end processing

Skill set required for these roles:

• A minimum of 12 months experience in a payroll position
• High-volume processing experience is an advantage in some roles
• A keen and eager attitude with a willingness to learn
• Strong system skills and accurate data entry ability 
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A polished presentation and articulate communication skills
