Deliver structural steel projects end to end with a leading, vertically integrated contractor. Strong pipeline, career growth and Noosaville lifestyle
Project Manager
ABOUT NEACH
Based in Noosaville, NEACH is a CC3-certified structural steel and metalwork contractor delivering complex projects across infrastructure, commercial and industrial sectors.
With over 50 years of operation, NEACH combines engineering capability, modern fabrication technology and a vertically integrated delivery model spanning design, fabrication, surface treatment and installation.
The business operates in a high-compliance, high-accountability environment, delivering critical infrastructure projects where quality, traceability and programme certainty are non-negotiable.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the controlled delivery of structural steel projects from award through to completion.
You will own programme, coordination and project-level commercial performance across multiple concurrent projects, operating within the systems, standards and controls set by the business.
This is a delivery role in a self-perform environment. You will be required to drive outcomes across engineering, procurement, workshop production and site execution, not just manage subcontractors.
You will act as the central point of coordination between client, commercial and operations, ensuring alignment and maintaining momentum across all phases of delivery.
Core responsibilities:
- End-to-end project delivery across design, procurement, fabrication and installation
- Management of project budgets, forecasting and cost control at a project level
- Contract administration including variations, EOTs and claims in line with company standards
- Programme development and control across workshop and site interfaces
- Monthly progress claims, WIP inputs and contribution to financial reporting accuracy
- Coordination with production to ensure sequencing, capacity alignment and delivery outcomes
- Client interface and issue resolution to support ongoing relationships
- Compliance with WHS, quality and environmental systems (ISO and AS/NZS 5131 CC3)
- Support to pre-contract planning, methodology and handover from estimating
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced Project Manager with a background in structural steel or heavy fabrication, comfortable operating in a self-perform environment where delivery depends on coordination across workshop and site.
You understand how to manage programme, cost and risk at a project level, while operating within a broader operational and commercial framework.
You bring structure, follow-through and accountability. You do not rely on escalation to maintain control.
Experience and capability:
- 8–12+ years’ experience delivering structural steel or heavy fabrication projects
- Demonstrated involvement in project cost control and commercial management
- Strong contract administration capability across variations, EOTs and claims
- Ability to interpret structural drawings and specifications at a working level
- Experience coordinating across engineering, workshop and site environments
- Strong understanding of WHS, quality and environmental compliance frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
- Trade background or engineering qualification highly regarded
WHY THIS ROLE
- Clear reporting line and support through an experienced Operations Manager
- Exposure to complex, high-specification projects
- Integrated business model with control over fabrication and delivery
- Stable pipeline of work and repeat clients
- Noosaville location with long-term stability and lifestyle balance
