A highly knowledgeable, experienced and passionate tech recruiter, Germaine brings an impressive track record of high placement success and delivering exceptional results for both clients and candidates. Her fresh energy and expertise further enhance our capabilities in this sector.
From app dev to senior recruiter
Germaine’s journey into tech recruitment began on the front lines as a junior account manager at an app development company in the healthcare sector.
In this role, she managed accounts with major pharmaceutical companies, collaborated with in-house developers and designers to improve app functionality, and provided level-one support. From there, she transitioned into sales and recruitment roles, primarily within the tech sector.
Before joining us, Germaine served as a senior recruiter and then account manager for the digital arm of the world’s largest global recruitment brand, where she specialised in roles ranging from business analysts and project managers to data engineers, developers, and enterprise and security architects.
A deep understanding and interest
Having actively worked on the client side, Germaine has unique insight into the industry, enhancing her ability to deliver in her role here at Verve Partners.
“I know what good developers look like, what good testing involves, and what good UX and UI are,” shares Germaine. “I also know what characteristics are desirable and which are frustrating, helping me identify the right candidates.”
Along with this technical and role understanding, she has a genuine interest and curiosity for technology and is always on top of the latest developments in the industry, both locally and globally.
“I’m not interested in whether buses are running on time. I’m interested in the cameras and tech that can identify how many people are on each bus. Technology is how I understand and engage with the community.”

“My tech appointments are never transactional. My focus is on building relationships and working to understand what our clients need and candidates and looking for.”

With specific expertise in local government, managed service providers (MSPs) and education, she’s excited to start conversations and begin building further relationships with tech businesses and job seekers in the Hunter.
