Senior Project Manager

Due to continued growth and recent project wins, a reputable civil construction business is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of civil infrastructure, bulk earthworks and subdivision projects throughout the Newcastle region. Project values extend up to $15M, with a strong forward workload providing long-term security.

The Position
This role will see you take responsibility for coordinating and controlling all aspects of project delivery, from early planning through to completion. You will be accountable for safety, quality, programme and financial performance while working closely with delivery teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the delivery of civil construction projects up to $15M
• Coordinate project programming, procurement activities and cost management
• Provide leadership and guidance to Engineers, Supervisors and site personnel
• Monitor project performance, forecasting and reporting against budgets
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
• Ensure all works comply with WHS, environmental and quality requirements
• Drive projects to successful completion in line with contractual obligations

About You

• Previous experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role within civil construction
• Strong exposure to bulk earthworks and residential or industrial subdivision projects
• Proven ability to lead project teams and foster a positive site culture
• Commercially focused with sound planning, cost control and reporting skills
• Clear and confident communicator with strong stakeholder management capability
