About the Role:

An opportunity is available for an experienced Estimator to join the Newcastle team, supporting the continued growth of the branch and playing a key role in securing new work across a diverse project portfolio.
This role is far more than take-offs and pricing it requires someone who understands how to win work, price strategically, and build strong relationships across the local market. You will work closely with the local leadership team to develop tender strategies, construction methodologies, and delivery programs, ensuring submissions are commercially sound and aligned with the best delivery model.
You will be supported by a strong estimating function, reporting daily into the Sydney Estimator while working closely with the Newcastle project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tender submissions, fee proposals and estimating documentation in line with internal guidelines
• Develop and execute tender strategies across multiple procurement models including D&C, Managing Contractor and traditional lump sum
• Collaborate closely with project teams to develop construction methodology and delivery programs
• Conduct site inspections, review drawings/specifications and ensure buildability
• Analyse subcontractor quotes and negotiate commercial outcomes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Contribute to pre-construction planning and support project handovers once tenders are awarded
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the tender process

About You:
To be successful, you will be a commercially astute Estimator with strong market knowledge and the ability to contribute strategically to bid and tender outcomes.

You will bring:

• Strong understanding of the Newcastle market and current construction conditions
• Established and trusted relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers
• Demonstrated experience across multiple procurement methods and the ability to price accordingly
• Experience working collaboratively with project teams to develop tender methodology and programs
• Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute solutions and alternative approaches to deliver projects efficiently
• Experience in new build projects
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications with accuracy and attention to detail
