EOI Part-Time Senior Civil Engineer

Genuine flexibility, 3-4 days per week
Senior-level work without the traditional pace
Real influence and future leadership potential

Work on quality projects with genuine responsibility, but not tied to the traditional five-day-week working week.

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer who still wants to work on quality projects and have genuine responsibility, but no longer wants the traditional five-day working week?

We’re seeking expressions of interest from Senior Civil Engineers in the Newcastle and Hunter region who are looking for a senior-level opportunity with meaningful flexibility.

This could suit someone looking to work three full days per week, or perhaps four shorter days structured around school drop-offs and pick-ups. The important thing is finding the right person and building a working arrangement that works for both sides.

What we’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll bring around 7-10 years’ civil engineering experience, with a strong background in consulting and development-focused projects.
Relevant project experience may include:

  • Land and urban development
  • Residential, commercial and industrial subdivisions
  • Roads, pavements and public domain works
  • Bulk earthworks and site grading
  • Stormwater and drainage design
  • Sewer and water servicing
  • Civil documentation from concept through detailed design
  • Council, authority and stakeholder coordination

You’ll be technically confident and capable of managing projects and workloads with a high degree of independence.
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, would be ideal. Also experience of using water/stormwater design programs would be highly advantageous.

Beyond the technical work

This isn’t intended to be a role where an experienced engineer simply receives a package of drawings and works through them.
We’re interested in people who can become a trusted senior member of a the business and potentially help shape what the local team looks like in the future.

Interested?

This is currently an Expression of Interest – if you’ve built strong experience in land development and civil infrastructure, enjoy taking ownership of your work and would like to explore a different kind of role that can genuinely work around life outside the office, we’d be keen to hear from you.
