Verve Partners have partnered with a well-established Australian organisation that has built a strong reputation for delivering specialised industrial equipment, servicing and engineered solutions across a diverse range of industries.

As part of a renewed focus on strengthening the service function, they are seeking an experienced Aftermarket Sales & Service Specialist to join their Newcastle team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys working closely with customers, technicians and suppliers to deliver quality service while identifying opportunities for repair work, spare parts and equipment sales.

About the Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the aftermarket sales process following scheduled service and maintenance activities.

Working closely with Service Technicians, Coordinators and customers, you will review service reports, prepare quotations, coordinate repairs, source parts and ensure approved work transitions smoothly into the planning and delivery phase.

This is a varied position combining technical knowledge, customer relationship management and commercial awareness. It would suit someone looking to move into a broader operational and customer-focused role within an established industrial business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review technician service reports and identify repair opportunities, defects and safety issues.
  • Prepare accurate quotations for repairs, spare parts and new equipment.
  • Liaise with technicians to clarify technical information and scope of works.
  • Contact customers to explain repair recommendations and provide technical advice.
  • Follow up outstanding quotations and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Raise purchase orders and coordinate parts procurement with suppliers.
  • Manage approved work through to scheduling and handover to the Service Planning team.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, quotations and sales activity within the CRM system.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider service team to achieve strong customer outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to provide customers with additional repair, service, parts and equipment solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across customer service, operational performance and aftermarket sales.

What You Will Bring

  • An electrical/ mechanical trade qualification or strong electrical/ mechanical technical background.
  • Experience within industrial equipment, manufacturing, maintenance or service environments.
  • Experience preparing quotations or estimating repair work.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and the confidence to identify additional sales opportunities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to safety, quality and delivering a high standard of customer service.
