About the Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team Northern NSW, the People & Culture Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering a positive, compliant, and high-performing employee and volunteer experience across the organisation. This role will support the Norther NSW region including Tamworth, Foster, Gosford and Newcastle.
This is a hands-on and highly rewarding role suited to someone who enjoys both strategic influence and operational delivery.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for staff and volunteers
  • Driving employee engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives
  • Supporting leadership with workforce planning and HR guidance
  • Coordinating learning and development activities
  • Maintaining HR compliance, systems, and documentation
  • Supporting performance review and development processes
  • Promoting diversity, inclusion, and child-safe practices
  • Contributing to reconciliation and community-focused initiatives

About You

You are an experienced People & Culture professional who leads with empathy, professionalism, and purpose.
You understand that great workplaces don’t happen by accident, they’re intentionally created through strong relationships, meaningful support, and values-led leadership.

You’ll bring:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources and/or significant HR experience
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR practices
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, and workforce processes
  • A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
  • High emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset
  • A genuine alignment with the mission and values of Ronald McDonald House
