Based at Noosaville, NEACH is seeking a leading Project Manager to join their team.

ABOUT NEACH
Based at Noosaville, NEACH specialises in structural steel, metal work and surface treatment across a range of industries including commercial, industrial and the infrastructure sectors. With 49 years of structural steel and steel erection experience, their client projects are met with innovative technology, quality services, and collaborative processes. Their workshop has a baseline capacity of 250 tonne per month, with increased capacity for clients who have compressed schedules or emergency projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into the General Manager, you will be a proactive leader, with the primary responsibly for delivering projects on schedule and within budget, whilst utilising the highest levels of safety management.
You will have a proven background with the delivery of structural steel projects ensuring the highest levels client satisfaction to promote repeat business opportunities.
   
  
Key tasks & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall budget of the project, whilst delegating the relevant areas to both the Design Manager and Workshop Supervisor.
  • Manage and deliver to the agreed schedule, whilst coordinating between all project inputs including design, procurement, manufacture, surface treatment and installation. 
  • Manage the progress claims for each project by the provision of payable amounts to the accounts team on a monthly basis.
  • Contract compliance to scope and specification.
  • Manage the change processes to ensure variations are effectively captured and managed in accordance with the Head of Contracts to minimise commercial exposure and maximise profitability.
  • When required work with the Estimating team to assist in the pricing of upcoming projects.
  • Management of the Production team.

 
Qualifications & experience required:

  • Proven leadership skills with a track record that reflects the ability to maintain and grow teams resulting in a highly collaborative and positive workplace culture.
  • A strong understanding of commercial/ industrial and residential building industry including construction material and methods.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of regulations, Environment, Quality and OH&S Management system and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Experience with interpreting structural steel plans and specifications.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in steel/ metalwork Project Management, Fabrication and construction costing and estimating.
  • Strategic commercial experience within a self-delivery contracting environment.
  • Strong risk management experience with the ability to assist in evaluating identified risks/ opportunities and development of agreed strategies and management plans to mitigate risk.
