Lead renewable energy projects that create lasting outcomes for First Nations communities.
Project Manager | Renewable Energy & Community Partnerships
If you’re passionate about delivering projects that leave a genuine legacy, this is an opportunity to be part of something much bigger than a traditional project management role.
Our client is a First Nations-led, profit-for-purpose organisation transforming how First Nations communities participate in Australia’s renewable energy transition. Rather than simply consulting with communities, they work alongside them to create meaningful ownership, long-term wealth and sustainable economic opportunities.
As Project Manager, you’ll work directly with First Nations communities, Traditional Owners, developers, investors and government stakeholders to help bring clean energy projects to life while ensuring communities remain at the centre of every decision.
This is a unique opportunity to combine project management, stakeholder engagement and commercial outcomes with meaningful social impact.
The Opportunity Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll manage projects across Australia from early development through to delivery, acting as the key link between First Nations communities and commercial project partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building trusted, long-term relationships with First Nations communities and Traditional Owners
- Acting as the primary Case Manager for clean energy opportunities, coordinating between First Nations, developer, and investor stakeholders.
- Coordinating project timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations
- Working alongside communities to develop governance structures and sustainable participation models
- Supporting commercial discussions and monitoring agreement progress to ensure outcomes align with First Nations community’s aspirations.
- Engaging with developers, investors, utilities and government stakeholders
- Supporting communities to establish long-term capability, governance and commercial independence
- Ensuring projects deliver both commercial success and meaningful community outcomes.
About You:
You’ll be an experienced Project Manager who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders and navigating complex projects where relationships are just as important as delivery.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial and contract management capability
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience working with community groups, government or culturally diverse stakeholders
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Business, Law, Community Development or similar
- The ability to travel nationally when required
Experience working with First Nations communities, renewable energy, infrastructure, Native Title or land access projects will be highly regarded but is not essential. We are equally interested in people with transferable experience and a genuine commitment to respectful partnership and community-led outcomes.
What’s on Offer
- Remote working across Sydney, Hunter or Central Coast
- Nationally significant clean energy projects
- Genuine purpose-driven work creating lasting social impact
- Salary packaging benefits to increase take-home pay
- Australia-wide travel
- Opportunity to work directly with senior leadership
- Collaborative, values-driven culture where relationships come first
- 12-month fixed-term contract with strong potential for extension.
