Verve Partners is pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a qualified Civil/Structural Engineer to join VENN Engineering Pty Ltd, a dynamic and boutique consultancy specialising in structural engineering and cutting-edge digital solutions. Based in the Illawarra region only 150 meters from the beach,

VENN Engineering serves a broad client base, ranging from local to international, and works across diverse industries. Their projects encompass the following areas:

Development and compliance of building products, including testing, analysis, and certification of various building elements like concrete precast, cladding, and composite products.
Advancing digital solutions for the building product industry, moving beyond traditional product literature.
Design of cold-formed steel structures.
Design and inspection of residential and small commercial industrial structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage structural design and analysis projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, calculations, and drawings.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and staff.
Conduct design and analysis of structural projects, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards.
Certify building products through rigorous testing and analysis processes.
Collaborate with clients to create innovative digital solutions that enhance building product offerings.
Design cold-formed steel structures and inspect both residential and commercial structures to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Work autonomously while maintaining effective communication with clients and team members.
Contribute to a flexible, project-based work environment, with opportunities for regular remote work.
Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve engineering processes.
Participate in business development initiatives by providing technical expertise in proposals and client presentations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Currently on track for CPE status with Engineers Australia.
Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional character.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently.

Desired Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on design.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing projects from inception to completion.
Knowledge with the NCC-BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
Experience in the design of residential and/or commercial structures.
Experience inspecting both completed and under-construction structures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and structural engineering software tools.
Proficiency with CAD software is essential.
