Teterin Engineering provides specialist engine reconditioning, precision machining, and component overhaul services to some of Australia’s leading companies in mining, marine, energy, power generation, and heavy industrial sectors.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal commercial role with a clear pathway toward senior commercial leadership as the business continues to grow.
The Role
This position combines technical knowledge with sales and client solutions. A core part of the role is supporting and managing key customer accounts, acting as a trusted technical and commercial contact for long-term clients while driving growth across established clients and new opportunities.
Working closely with the BDM/Sales Manager, General Manager, and senior leaders across the group, you’ll gain exposure to full operations with the view of developing into a commercial leader for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across mining, marine, energy, and industrial sectors, including ownership of key customer accounts
- Identify new growth opportunities through proactive customer engagement, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
- Coordination of internal sales and projects, providing alignment between workshop, operations, and sales, ensuring smooth process from quotation through to execution.
- Prepare detailed and commercially sound technical quotations and proposals for engine overhauls and component reconditioning
- Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategies, margin improvement, and sales process optimisation
About You
- Proven experience in technical sales within engineering, machinery, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, mechanical systems, or component reconditioning (highly regarded but not essential)
- Experience in quoting, estimating, and pricing technical projects with an understanding of margin and commercial risk
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and relationship management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Commercial mindset, organised, and detail focused with the ability to prioritise competing opportunities
- Leadership capability or readiness to step into a leadership pathway toward a future commercial or sales management role
- CRM proficiency and comfort working with sales reporting and pipelines
