The Opportunity
We’re seeking a motivated and solution-focused Technical Sales Manager to support clients with technical advice, project coordination, and product integration on active and upcoming construction works.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to an engineer with commercial aptitude, who enjoys combining relationship management with real-world problem solving in a fast-paced industry. Based in Newcastle or Sydney, the role involves regular travel to customer sites and close collaboration with internal operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of clients across civil and commercial construction sectors
- Provide technical product support and assist with specifications, trials, and site delivery
- Prepare accurate and commercially competitive quotations and proposals
- Track project opportunities and coordinate resources for product delivery
- Liaise with internal teams (logistics, sales support, technical) to meet project timeframes
- Support tender processes and contribute to market intelligence and reporting
- Troubleshoot customer challenges and work to deliver practical, value-added solutions
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or similar)
- 2+ years in a sales, project engineer, or site-facing technical role
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage contractors, designers, and site teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable working on active construction sites and building long-term client rapport
- Confident preparing quotes, reporting on activity, and feeding back market insights
