The Opportunity
Kick-start your engineering career with a structured 36-month graduate program designed to fast-track you from graduate entry to Project Manager. You’ll rotate across CNC programming, procurement, estimating, quality control, and project delivery—building the skills, certifications, and confidence to lead major steel projects from start to finish.

Your Graduate Journey
Months 0–6 | CNC & Procurement

• Learn CNC programming & operation (Laser Plate Line, Beamline)
• Support steel procurement & supplier management

Months 7–12 | Estimating

• Assist with take-offs, pricing & tender packs
• Gain exposure to contracts & risk management

Months 13–24 | Quality Control

• Build competence in AS/NZS & ISO standards
• Support welder qualifications, inspections & compliance
• Complete IIW Basic Welding Inspector certification

Months 25–30 | Project Engineering

• Work alongside Project Managers on scheduling, claims & reporting
• Coordinate subcontractors & site inspections

Months 31–36 | Project Manager Transition

• Lead small projects with full oversight
• Manage budgets, schedules & safety compliance
• Deliver projects on time, on budget & to specification

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong technical aptitude & interest in steel fabrication
• Communication & problem-solving skills
• MS Office proficiency (Tekla/CAD desirable)
• Current driver’s licence
