Verve Partners support the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
Chances are that you or someone you know has been affected by breast cancer. It’s not surprising.
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in Australia, with around 58 people diagnosed every day. Sadly, this year alone, more than 3,300 Australians will lose their fight against the disease.
Breast cancer affects sisters, aunts, mothers, daughters and friends. It doesn’t discriminate. In fact, about 1 in 550 men will also be diagnosed. But the future is looking brighter.
Moving in the right direction
Thanks to increasing awareness and ongoing fundraising efforts, health professionals are providing crucial support to those impacted and are striving for a cure.
Fundraising efforts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month will help make a real impact.
Throughout October, people of all ages across the country will be donning pink and gathering for a variety of activities.
From tea parties and gala balls to sponsored sports events and dinners, communities will come together to raise funds and show their support. Verve Partners’ Wellness Committee (Welleys) is no exception!
A team effort
Verve’s Wellness Committee members, Beck Chisholm, Emma Westbury and Jodi O’Connor have organised a pink themed breakfast to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. They aim to raise $1,000. Click here to sponsor team Verve.
Our team feels deeply connected to this cause. Several of us have had loved ones who have battled and, sadly, lost their fight to breast cancer. We’re passionate about supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. We hope to make a meaningful impact through small efforts like our Pink Ribbon Breakfast. If you can help us achieve our goal, please donate above – every little bit helps!
